A little about me...
Originally from France, Julien Léger arrived in Canada in 1997. He studied Landscape Architecture and received a professional Bachelor in Architecture in 2002 from the Université de Montreal.
Recipient of several prizes, such as the student charette of the Canadian Center of Architecture in 1999, innovation in Architecture from the “Foundation Habitat ‘67’ in 2001, doors opened to Julien to work for internationally renowned firms such as Boutros + Pratte Architects and Cardinal-Hardy and Associates. He had the opportunity to work on a large variety of projects from the “Adonis Market Blvd des Sources” (Prize of excellence in architecture of Quebec 2007), “the 333 Sherbrooke condominiums” and an office building for the Society of Alcohols of Quebec. Enriched by his North American experience, he traveled between 2004 and 2006 to the South West Pacific where he had the chance to exercise his skills in management of large-scale multi use projects.
He joined Ankenman Marchand Architects in 2006. His experience throughout the globe helps them to serve the community with a global understanding of the multi-ethnic character of Canadian Architecture.
Julien was the project leader for a variety of AMA's projects, from heritage rehabilitation (Paris Block and Paris Annex) to the multi-family development (Lake Star at Tobiano) and master planning of the Willow Beach Development.
Today Julien works with Walter Francl Architecture Inc. As they state in their website (www.wfrancl.com) They are a firm who have the ability to consistently meet high standards by developing a team to meet the high standards of design with each project.
